things to see
Smith Rock State Park
Tumalo Falls State Park
Steelhead Falls
Dee Wright Observatory
For those seeking natural beauty, Central Oregon offers a variety of opportunities to enjoy the stakes of land within it. Climb cliff faces and hike switchbacks at Smith Rock. Trek or ride to one of Oregon's most pristine waterfalls at Tumalo Falls or enjoy a 25ft plunge into the refreshing waters at Steelhead Falls. And after just a short drive west, soak in the gorgeous views at the Dee Wright Observatory along the Old McKenzie Pass. Although each is worth a day trip, visiting all four in one day makes for an exciting challenge. Are you up for it?
Mirror Pond
4th of July Fireworks
Bend Brewfest
Balloons Over Bend
Had a long day sightseeing at our favorite local spots? Maybe a night or two in town will help you out. Take a stroll along Mirror Pond (also the namesake of one of our most famous beers). Speaking of beer, we have a weekend-long celebration of our local tastes. Swing by Brewfest to give each a sampling! If you're in town for the 4th, post up in a lawn chair with the family to catch a glimpse of our spectacular fireworks show from Pilot Butte, right in the middle of the city! And if you're more of an early-riser, be sure to make your way to the Old Mill District to view the beautiful display of colors during Balloons Over Bend. Whichever you choose, we're absolutely sure you'll enjoy yourselves!
Our Promise
They say the people make the place. And we've certainly found that to be true here in Bend and the surrounding area. Our hoard of outdoor/nature enthusiasts are vital in generating an atmosphere of respect, adventure, and excitement! However, we have also been convinced, after generations of enjoying what few others knew about, that the place also makes the people. We have been conditioned by our land to appreciate what we've been given. Many find that when they visit, it's truly hard to leave Central Oregon. They find the kind of life they've been dreaming of. Which is why we invite you to check us out! We'd love to welcome you to (y)our paradise.
